In the book, Kate tells the stories of a diverse collection of people, from gypsies to astronauts, adoptees to refugees, people who have never moved to those still searching for somewhere to call home.

Kate Humble was a BBC researcher before becoming a presenter on Animal Park, Springwatch, Autumnwatch, Lambing Live, Living With Nomads, Back to the Land and Escape to the Farm. She lives with her husband on a smallholding in Wales.
