Accessibility Statement

Our accessibility statement is a work in progress, and we welcome ideas and suggestions about how we can improve access to our events for all sections of the community who wish to attend.

Parking

Disabled parking is available in the main town car park accessed via Crescent Road which is a few mins walk to the main festival event locations. Parking on the streets of Llandeilo town centre is very limited. There are drop off bays outside Yr Hen Farchnad and the Cawdor hotel. There are some disabled parking bays on Rhosmaen Street (post office). Overflow parking is available at Station Road and the Rugby Club (both a ten-fifteen minutes walk from the town centre). There are a limited number of parking spaces available at Yr Hen Fachnad/The Old Market during the Festival.

Disability accessible toilets

There are disability accessible toilets in the main town centre car park  (behind the three regular ones), in Yr Hen Farchnad, Hengwrt, Cawdor Hotel, Newton House, The Warehouse and Cottage Inn.
Cash points are at CK’s, the Co-operative supermarket and in the post office. The Llandeilo Lit Fest main locations, Hengwrt and Yr Hen Farchnad, are accessible to wheelchair users, have lifts and disability accessible toilets. General town access

The pavements in Llandeilo are very narrow. There is a cashpoint available alongside CK’s general store on Crescent Road and another outside the Co-operative store.

Festival venues

  1. Hengwrt – main festival venue on Carmarthen Street

  • The building is accessible for wheelchairs, as well as the rooms that will be used during the Festival. There are no steps to get into the building, and there is a ramp for the downstairs room.

  • To get to the upstairs room there is a lift available.

  • There is a disabled toilet available in the building.

  • We don’t have any braille around the building unfortunately.

    2. Capel Horeb/Horeb Chapel

  • (Part of the Cawdor Hotel located in adjacent building) has a railing but several steep steps.

  • There is no toilet facility.

  • The Cawdor Hotel has ramp access at the front of the hotel. The restaurant, bar and lounge area and toilets are all on the ground floor. The hotel has one accessible bedroom in the courtyard of the hotel with a wet room style shower.

3. Mari Thomas Jewellery (Rhosmaen Street) does not have wheelchair access and there is a complete staircase leading to the paper sculpture workshop.

4. Oriel Mimosa has a raised step at the entrance. There is a wheelchair accessible entrance from the side (up the passage leading to the small chapel) but no lift to access the art exhibition upstairs.

5. The Warehouse / Davies and Co has wheelchair access into the café and a ramp for the three steps into the shed. We also have wheelchair friendly toilets and baby changing room   01558 824275 Info@daviesandco.info

6. The Cottage Inn has level access from the car park to the auditorium and has disability friendly toilets.

7. Yr Hen Farchnad (Kids Fest venue) has flat access and automatic doors. There are disability accessible toilets and there is a lift to the first floor. Disabled parking is available.

8. Newton House adapted toilets in house and visitor reception.

  • Grounds - partly accessible.

  • Drop-off point. Building - ramped entrance.

  • Ground floor accessible.

  • Steep steps to basement.

  • We have a brand-new lift to allow wheelchair users access to the first floor at Newton House.

  • Wheelchair available, booking essential.

9. Pitchfork and Provision is wheelchair accessible.

10. St Teilo’s Church There is designated on-street parking outside the front of the church yard on Bridge Street. There are no amenities on site.

Event management

  • There are no sessions involving flashlights.

  • None of the sessions require total silence.

  • We apologise that there is no braille or sign language available and there are no hearing aid loops.

Parcio

Mae mannau parcio i bobl anabl ar gael ym mhrif faes parcio'r dref y gellir ei gyrraedd. drwy Heol Cilgant sydd ychydig funudau ar droed i leoliadau prif ddigwyddiadau'r ŵyl.Mae parcio ar strydoedd canol tref Llandeilo yn gyfyngedig iawn. Mae mannau gollwng y tu allan i'r Hen Farchnad a gwesty'r Cawdor. Mae rhai mannau parcio anabl ar Stryd Rhosmaen (ger y swyddfa bost). Mae parcio gorlif ar gael yn Heol yr Orsaf a’r Clwb Rygbi (y ddau ddeg/ pymtheg munud ar droed o ganol y dref). Nifer cyfyngedig o lefydd parcio sydd ar gael yn Yr Hen Fachnad yn ystod yr ŵyl.

Toiledau hygyrch i bobl anabl

Mae toiledau hygyrch i’r anabl ym mhrif faes parcio canol y dref (tu ôl i’r tri arferol), yn Yr Hen Farchnad, Hengwrt, Gwesty’r Cawdor, Tŷ Newton, The Warehouse a Cottage Inn. Mae pwyntiau arian yn CK’s, archfarchnad y Co-operative ac yn y swyddfa bost. Mae prif leoliadau Gŵyl Lên Llandeilo, Hengwrt a’r Hen Farchnad, yn hygyrch i ddefnyddwyr cadeiriau olwyn, mae ganddynt lifftiau a thoiledau hygyrch i’r anabl. (Mae datganiadau mynediad llawn ar gyfer pob lleoliad – lle mae gennym ni nhw – ar ddiwedd y ddogfen hon).

Mynediad cyffredinol i'r dref

Mae'r palmentydd yn Llandeilo yn gul iawn.  Mae peiriant arian ar gael wrth ochr siop gyffredinol CK ar Crescent Road ac un arall y tu allan i siop y Co-operative.

Lleoliadau’r Ŵyl

  1. Hengwrt – prif leoliad yr ŵyl ar Stryd Caerfyrddin.

  • Mae'r adeilad yn hygyrch i gadeiriau olwyn, yn ogystal â'r ystafelloedd a ddefnyddir yn ystod yr Ŵyl. Nid oes grisiau i fynd i mewn i'r adeilad, ac mae ramp i'r ystafell lawr grisiau.

  • I gyrraedd yr ystafell i fyny'r grisiau mae lifft ar gael.

  • Mae toiled anabl ar gael yn yr adeilad.

  • Nid oes gennym arwyddion braille o amgylch yr adeilad yn anffodus.

2. Capel Horeb

  • Mae gan Gapel Horeb (rhan o Westy'r Cawdor sydd wedi'i leoli yn yr adeilad cyfagos) reilen ond nifer o risiau serth

  • Nid oes cyfleusterau toiled. Mae gan Westy'r Cawdor fynediad ramp o flaen y gwesty

  • Mae'r bwyty, y bar a'r lolfa a'r toiledau i gyd ar y llawr gwaelod.

  • Mae gan y gwesty un ystafell wely hygyrch yng nghwrt y gwesty gyda chawod arddull ystafell wlyb.

3. Mari Thomas. Nid oes mynediad i gadeiriau olwyn gan Mari Thomas Jewellery (Stryd Rhosmaen) ac mae grisiau cyflawn yn arwain at y gweithdy cerfluniau papur.

4. Oriel Mimosa.Mae gan Oriel Mimosa ris uchel wrth y fynedfa. Mae mynedfa hygyrch i gadeiriau olwyn o’r ochr (i fyny’r cyntedd sy’n arwain at y capel bach) ond dim lifft i fynd i’r arddangosfa gelf i fyny’r grisiau.

5. Warehouse/ Davies and Co. Mae gan y Warehouse / Davies and Co fynediad i gadeiriau olwyn i'r caffi a ramp ar gyfer y tri gris i mewn i'r sied. Mae gennym hefyd doiledau sy'n addas ar gyfer cadeiriau olwyn ac ystafell newid babanod 01558 824275 Info@daviesandco.info

6. Cottage Inn. Mae gan y Cottage Inn fynediad gwastad o'r maes parcio i'r awditoriwm ac mae ganddo doiledau sy'n addas i bobl anabl.

7. Yr Hen Farchnad. Mae gan Yr Hen Fach (lleoliad Gŵyl y Plant) fynediad gwastad a drysau awtomatig. Mae yna doiledau hygyrch i bobl anabl ac mae lifft i'r llawr cyntaf. Mae parcio i'r anabl ar gael.

8. Tŷ Newton. Mae toiledau wedi'u haddasu yn Nhŷ Newton a derbynfa ymwelwyr. Tiroedd - yn rhannol hygyrch. Man gollwng. Adeilad - mynedfa â ramp. Llawr gwaelod yn hygyrch. Grisiau serth i'r islawr. Mae gennym ni lifft newydd sbon i alluogi defnyddwyr cadeiriau olwyn i gyrraedd y llawr cyntaf yn Nhŷ Newton. Cadair olwyn ar gael, rhaid bwcio o flaen llaw..

9. Pitchfork and Provisions. Mae Pitchfork and Provisions yn hygyrch i gadeiriau olwyn.

10. Eglwys Teilo Sant. Mae maes parcio dynodedig ar y stryd y tu allan i flaen y fynwent ar Stryd y Bont. Nid oes unrhyw amwynderau ar y safle.

Rheoli digwyddiadau

  • Nid oes unrhyw sesiynau sy'n cynnwys fflachlydau.

  • Nid oes angen tawelwch llwyr ar unrhyw un o'r sesiynau.

  • Ymddiheurwn nad oes braille nac iaith arwyddion ar gael ac nad oes dolenni cymorth clyw.
