A map with all the festival locations will include markations for participating businesses and notable town locations.
Books and / or clues for the hunt will be left in those businesses and locations all over Llandeilo for you to find literary treasures and some other surprises.

The hunt will be a collaboration with the Llandeilo Book Fairy who recently brought the fabulous idea of the Kidwelly Book Hunters to town.

Award ceremony for the short story and drawing competition

The April Book Fair will be holding a short story competition and a drawing competition.
“Budding artists and storytellers needed. If you are aged six or less and know what a fiery dragon looks like, get drawing or painting!
And, if you are aged seven to eleven the competition is to create an exciting Celtic character and write a mini saga (short story in just 100-200 words) inspired by your creation.
The third competition, for eleven to sixteen year olds is to create an image of a legendary person or animal that appears in a Welsh story. Then, around your image, use your writing skills to describe the character in no more than 400 words.’

Competition entries will be displayed during Llandeilo Lit Fest and the winners announced in the Civic Hall at 3pm on Saturday 29th April.
Prizes include money and book tokens.
