“Create and illustrate a short story with artist Nuria Otte, suitable for ages 7-11.”

Children are highly creative, with a natural tendency to imagine, experiment and explore their environment. This workshop will encourage children to develop their creativity using imagination, problem solving, divergent thinking and the ability to experience emotion.remystory

Nuria will work with the children to create a short illustrated story through free play. The participants will choose an object to convert it into a character. They will create a story around him or her (or it). Nuria will help the children to create illustrations using different materials. “

Nuria Otte was born in Spain.SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES She has always been an artist, winning school art contests, doodling school notebooks and making tiny comics about aliens and spaceships but she would never have believed she would be lucky enough to do it as a job when she grew up. She studied Fashion Design and Illustration in Madrid and worked as a Creative Director for more than 15 years.hwylfawr01
Nuria moved to Wales to find the peace she needed and she fell in love with a land of lovely people, green colour and sea breeze. She works from her little studio in The Printhaus being part of an amazing community of artists. She likes to experiment with different mediums and techniques to deliver her creativity. She is currently working on her first author-illustrated picture book. “
